People always wonder and occasionally ask “what if they had gotten to it sooner?” It’s not a question I spend much time thinking about because it’s irrelevant at this point. There were risks with going in sooner had the tumor been something else. I fully understand why the doctors did what they did.
Could they have shrunk it with radiation or chemo a month earlier? Maybe. But maybe those nerves would have continued to leak spinal fluid in the damaged area.
Only God knows His timing for how and when this was discovered and I leave this question for Him alone to answer rather than worry over it.
Here’s how much the tumor grew in the month we were diagnosing it. The surgeon said it looked even bigger when he got inside. About the size of a lemon is what he said. Ouch is what I say.
