I am so thankful this week. This week I was able to go to Portland Grotto’s festival of lights, enter the church, and listen to choir music. I was moved to tears as I took it all in. I remember my family going without me last year. After visiting me in the hospital during one of my inpatient chemo treatments they went to the Grotto for the kids to see the lights for the first time.
I remember being sad as they left me there during the Christmas season and not being able to go with them.
I’m thankful this year to be healthy and able to fully celebrate with my family. This has been an amazing year of blessings for me.
