Both Jennifer and I got sick this week. Luckily it only lasted a day for each of us and we’re back on our feet. It’s a good reminder that my immune system is still limping from treatment. Having a fever meant that I couldn’t go to the hospital and had to cancel my port removal and nerve test that were scheduled for this week. That’s a bummer but the new appointments will come soon enough.
As I passed this row of wheelchairs on my last visit, I was reminded of how far I’ve come in the last few months. We used to have to hunt one of these down to get me from the car to my doctors. Of course, now that I don’t need one there’s a whole row of them!
