I recently read this blog post and it seemed fitting given the stage I am at with Portland Boat Tours. In 4 days, I will depart on my first tour as a professional boat captain. Is it my dream? Yes. Is it still scary? Yes. Jeff Goins hits the nail on the head: “I could fail. I could lose the respect of my friends. I could go broke. I could mess up in a hundred different ways.”

I am a tour boat captain. I will share my love of being on the river in my boat with the countless passengers I will serve this summer. And finally, I am “doing it” (the scariest part) starting this week.
