Thankfully, today I got to say goodbye to this PICC line that allowed so much to happen the last two months. It allowed medicines to be injected into my heart and blood taken easily for testing. Thanks again to my wife for administering 6 weeks of IV antibiotics through it. This line has served me well but is being upgraded on Monday for a new port that will be much easier for my chemo. I’ll be in for minor surgery Monday to place the new port under my skin in preparation for dose #2 of chemo next week.
