Today marks the end of my first cycle of chemotherapy. Tomorrow I will get my second dose and begin that adventure. Currently, the doctors think 6 cycles is what I need. This first dose came with training wheels. It was a much more mild chemo so that my back could heal. Tomorrow I’ll get the full dose of what they call R-CHOP. The 6 cycles are always subject to change based on the results we’re getting but that’s what we’re going with for now. Two of the cycles are going to require hospital stays so that they can send chemo into my brain to make sure there is no lymphoma there. I’m happy to be done with the first dose and moving on toward more healing. I fear there is a rougher road ahead though.
