Portland Boat Tours: From Dream to Business tells the story of Portland Boat Tours from its inception through the entire first season. Through a collection of over 150 full color photographs and 104 pages of stories, Captain Seth Vore shares with us what it really took to make his dream of owning and operating a wooden boat tour company a reality. This isn’t a polished “everything goes exactly as planned” story nor is it a checklist style “how to” for folks looking to turn their own dream into a profitable business. What it is, however, is an honest, realistic, and at times humorous look into the trenches of the American dream and what it took for one man to execute and live out that dream.
About the Author:
Captain Seth Vore is a US Coast Guard licensed boat captain who takes his passengers’ safety and enjoyment of the river seriously. He has been sailing the Willamette River since 1998. He started Portland Boat Tours in 2012 out of a passion to share his joy of the water with his customers. He shares this story through these words and photographs by courtesy of his Kickstarter project backers who generously funded the publishing of this work.
