One year ago, I participated in my annual tradition of attending the Oregon Brewers Festival brunch and parade to kick off the 5 day festival downtown. I’ve been doing this for at least 7 years now. Last year was different though. I couldn’t walk in the parade. My buddy and I had to take a pedi-cab for the parade to the festival because, as I would later find out , I had a tumor growing in my spine. It’s amazing how much has changed this year. That tumor is gone now, my back has been put back together, and I am cancer free. No pedi-cab for me this year! We walked the mile and a half of the parade to the festival and had a great time (despite the rain).
