In my mind I occasionally take a snapshot of special moments since my remission. I title them “I survived cancer for this.” They are the moments that I may have taken for granted a year ago but savor now. Enjoying the 4th of July with my family and friends was just such an occasion. I’m glad to be pain free and cancer free this year.
