I was surprised to experience pretty minor side effects from the brain chemo I received in the hospital. It was much milder than my regular dose. I was back on my feet and functional by Thursday this week (which is pretty good after that hospital stay).

Friday I had a checkup with the infectious disease doc who continues to monitor the infection I had in and around the tumor. She gave me a good scorecard and even dropped one of the two antibiotics I’m on. The other will probably be with me for another year or longer.

Overall, I’m heading into Christmas in pretty good shape with good energy, a moderately weak immune system, and lots of gratitude for where I’m at in this process.

My next chemo drops on 12/30 and we’ll start all over again…
