I promised to share some excerpts from my book here to get you excited about getting your hands on a copy. Here’s the next installment in that series I’ll title this one “It’s a Family Affair.” I hope you enjoy it!
My Kids Really Embraced Portland Boat Tours:
Portland Boat Tours is really a whole family affair. My kids loved the process. I don’t think I could have done it otherwise. Every step of the way, they were excited with me and for me. From the first time we saw the logo, to the first stickers we got, to our homemade t-shirts, to helping sand and varnish the boat, to our first boat rides, to when our first signs came in, to celebrating as a family after the last tour of the season. They were with me and excited about it the entire time. Their encouragement actually kept me going at times when I lost that excitement myself.
It was a sacrifice to give up their dad a couple nights a week and half of the weekend all summer long but they were real troopers. It also led to more intentional family time when there’s not as much time to go around. Are you really going to park yourself on the couch in front of the TV and squander a day when you have so precious little summer weather to enjoy as a family? We fully embraced the summer this year and did some amazing things that probably wouldn’t have been possible had we not realized how precious our family time together was.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my devoted family who helped me make Portland Boat Tours happen.
